Connect a domain registrar

Connect a domain registrar so Everguardly can sync domain expiry, DNS records, and (on Cloudflare) trigger certificate renewals — straight from the registrar's own API rather than relying on WHOIS alone. Synced expiry feeds your existing domain monitors and renewal reminders automatically.

Security: credentials are encrypted

A registrar API key grants control over your domains, so we never store it in plaintext. Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, decrypted only at sync time on the server, and never sent back to the browser. Only organization admins can connect or disconnect a registrar, and every connection event is written to your audit log.

Supported providers

• Cloudflare (Studio+) — scoped API Token with Zone:Read and SSL and Certificates:Edit. Syncs nameservers + DNS records and can trigger a certificate renewal check.
• Namecheap (Studio+) — API User + API Key (Namecheap requires an IP allowlist on their side). Syncs domain expiry + auto-renew.
• GoDaddy (Studio+) — API Key + API Secret. Syncs expiry, auto-renew, and nameservers.
• AWS Route 53 (Agency+) — Access Key ID + Secret Access Key. Syncs DNS records from a hosted zone using SigV4-signed requests.
• Squarespace Domains (Studio+) — Bearer API Key.

What about Google Domains?

Google Domains was shut down in 2023 and its domain catalog was migrated to Squarespace. If you previously managed domains with Google Domains, use the Squarespace Domains integration — it's the modern successor.

How to connect

1. Go to Settings → Domain registrars.
2. Pick a provider and paste its credentials into the connect form.
3. Click Connect. We validate the credentials before saving.
4. Enter a domain and click Sync domain (or Sync DNS / Renew cert where supported).

Synced expiry data is recorded against any monitor that tracks the same domain, so your renewal reminders and the domain panel reflect the authoritative registrar date.
